Where We Are…
On The Way To Where We Want To Go

In last month's issue, we learned that "Living Fulfilled" means living life the way YOU desire to live it in all areas. This includes:

  • FUN

What did you take away from last month's issue?  When you ranked the 8 F’s, what did you learn about yourself when you identified where you currently spend your time? Did you have any "Ah-Ha" moments?

Now, let’s take an honest look at what you SAY you want and how you are living in each area.  As Oprah talks about, "Happiness comes from being our authentic selves."  This means that we are living our life in a way that is parallel to how we say we want to live our life.

The first step to living our life fulfilled is to take an honest look at reality.  The wonderful thing about being a human being is that we can change at any moment. We are not planted like a tree and not able to move. Companies re-invent themselves all the time, if fact if they don’t they are shortly out of business.

We as human beings can re-invent ourselves any time we choose in any area of our lives.  WE ARE NOT TREES.

This last year my husband and I decided to re-invent ourselves by focusing on our health.  We went from being very unhealthy, never exercising, eating fast food regularly and not really caring. We were borderline diabetic, our body fat was well... we didn’t even want to know.

(My loving hubby and I in 2004)

We made the decision that we were playing Russian roulette with our lives and decided to CHANGE.  In less than a year we had lost 80 lbs. each.  We feel great.  For me, I did not do it to wear a smaller size or just for the sake of losing weight.  I did it because I wanted to get control of my health and also wanted to feel better.  If anyone had told me a year before that I would loose 80 lbs. I’d would have said, YEAH RIGHT.  For us, it started with being honest with ourselves about where we were and what we wanted for our lives.  The one thing that I have learned is that people “gotta wanna” change.  If we don’t want to, we will never change.  Whatever area in your life that needs change, just know YOU CAN DO IT.  My husband and I know if we can re-invent ourselves physically, we can re-invent any other area of our lives.  We just “gotta wanna."

(Healthy AND Curvy in 2005!)

So, take inventory in each area of your life, what areas are you happy with and what area needs some focus.  We are here in 2005, moving quickly to 2006.

Where did you think you would be in each area of your life at this time in history?

The only way to get to where you want to go is to know where you are.

I realized that at my age now, I have lived more life than I have left.  Whether you are in your teens, twenties, thirties, forties, fifties, sixties, seventies, eighties or beyond….you can change.  It’s not too late, it’s not too hard, and it’s not too difficult…..

It is your life; make the decision to live whatever is left in the manner YOU CHOOSE!!

There are many people today that talk about affirmations and there is nothing wrong with reprogramming your mind by repeating how you want things to be.

I am happy, I am fulfilled, I love my job, I am wealthy…..

However, we also cannot lie to ourselves without a little voice saying “Yeah right."

Last month I asked you what kind of life you wanted to live, this month what you need to change to have that life.  Next month we will create a plan of actions to start living that life you choose to live.

I’d love to hear from you about how you are going to live your BIG life and if there is anything I can do to help! Feel free to contact me with your questions, comments and concerns at
