Bridal Gown Shopping Online

It seems like I can’t remember what life was like before the Internet. It is such a part of our everyday lives that it seems like it’s always been around. There isn’t a day when I am not on the Internet working, writing or just surfing the net. As a bridal consultant it has opened up an online world full of bridal services and products I can explore for my clients, which includes online bridal gown resources.

Now you might be wondering how in the world can anyone buy a wedding gown over the Internet? What do you do about trying it on? What if what you see online doesn’t look the same when you get it? Are you stuck? These are the same questions that went through my head when I approached

plus size wedding gowns

Plus Size Bridal caters to the plus size bride with a large selection of designer gowns from well-known manufacturers such as Mori Lee, Bonny, Alfred Angelo, Forever Yours, Marissa, Emme Bridal, Jacqueline Bridals, Sweet Heart, Mon Cheri, Moon Light, Jordan, Impressions, just to name a few.  They’ve been in business for over thirty years with a focus on personalized customer service and attention for every bride.

While I do still love the experience of going to a salon and trying gowns on, I can say from experience that Plus Size Bridals makes it just as easy and convenient. Several months ago they were kind enough to loan me several gowns for my book’s bridal shoot. All I needed was the measurements of the models and the gowns they provided fitted the bill perfectly.

Now if you don’t happen to know a professional seamstress who can take your measurements for you, Plus Size Bridals spells it out step by step on their website. First of all don’t try to take your own measurements, always have someone else do it for you.  According to Plus Size Bridals you should:

  • Measure the bust at its fullest part
  • Measure the waistline at your natural waist
  • Measure hips at the fullest part
  • Take your measurements in the bridal undergarments your wearing
  • Be sure to stand up straight with your arms relaxed down by your side.

Once you have your measurements and you’ve found a gown you’re interested in, refer to the detailed sizing chart to determine what size gown you need, then you can either order it online, call or fax your order.

If you are not satisfied with the gown and need to return it you can do so and Plus Size Bridal will refund your money less a 25.00 restocking fee as long as the merchandise is returned in good condition. However claims must be made within five (5) days of receipt of the merchandise. Customer representatives are available Monday through Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. so you can call them for any additional information or questions you may have regarding their return policy.

As always I am on the lookout for as many options for full figured brides as possible. Plus Size Bridal is certainly one of those options. It is completely up to you.  Many brides to be want to have the total experience of shopping and going to a bridal shop, while others may be looking for something more convenient and less traditional. There is no wrong way to go.
