In search of merchandise that will tickle Mom's taste buds on her special day and all year long, I stumbled upon Jennifer's Chocolates of Wakefield, Rhode Island.....a chocolatiers shop producing nothing less than select superior candy. Prepare yourself for calories gone upscale…

It's a snowy Saturday afternoon, and I've been hanging around the house moping, when I got a longing for something good to munch on. Worse yet, I had chores to do but didn't have the energy I needed. One can solve that sort of dilemma not with any ordinary snack, but with Jennifer's Chocolate-Covered Pretzels. A sure score for fudge devotees, I still cannot believe that I've held on to them this "long"- a whole twenty-four hours.

They arrived yesterday by USPS Priority Mail after just being ordered two days prior. In perfect condition, I observed that the twisted treasures were bathed in both dark and milk chocolate. Yum! There's nothing I enjoy more than a variety. And Diva Jen's secret recipe goes so well with the crunch of the salty treat beneath. Remembering that I also have some bon-bons, I tore into the classy golden-colored box adorn with a pretty bow, destined to put you in a truffle coma. Thinking about my options, my eyes wandered to an unusual shaped dark tidbit. Styled like a pyramid, I knew that I struck King Tut's gold. Reminiscent of Grandma's tasty lemonade she would make on a hot summer day, the citrus flavored center literally made my tongue dance. The filling in Liz' Lemon Pyramids compliments its outer candy shell so nicely with an indefinable sensation. Another personal favorite of mine has always been mint. So I just had to search this one-pound sampler package to find my fetish. It wasn't difficult to detect the 'Ocean State Peppermint' with its unique molding. One bite of this incredible invention sent me to a dreamy new world. I've never tasted a chocolate-covered peppermint candy so delightful and exhilarating.

chocolate Now that you know my two preferences, don't stop there. Try them for yourself and elect your own individual liking with a vast selection of exceptional candies, fresh nuts, and home made chocolates to choose from for every taste: caramel, hazelnut, even buttercrunch offered with white, milk and dark cocoa potions in both a one or a two pound receptacle. Simple but classic, I am a fan of this kind of essence where satisfying edibles and worthy costs go together. Having to want top notch, there’s nothing indecent with tremendous quality.

As her homepage loads, it is simply spelled out in black and white (or should I say chocolate and white): WE LOVE CHOCOLATE! And indeed she does, acknowledged by the tempting photos of those mini miracles with the capability of making me feel oh-so-good through scent, sight and of course taste. And SHE is Jennifer Dowell of 'Jennifer's Chocolates' fame. An icon in the Rhode Island region for nearly nine years, five of those absorbed with studies about chocolate, this "Candy Scholar’s" sweet science can now touch the whole country through www.JensChocolates.com any time of the day or night. If it gives this retail establishment’s owner any more credential, Jen repeatedly receives comments that she resembles Juliette Binoche of the film, ‘Chocolat’.

A complete Mother’s Day token for junk food aficionados, consider requesting a glorious gift basket with your choice of goods specialized by the "Confection Princess". She also creates tantalizing souvenirs for graduations, corporate meetings, weddings and showers of any sort.

Can’t find what you’re contemplating? Call this cyberspace monument at 1-401-783-8423 to find out about additional distinct offerings not found on their site yet. But order well in advance to ensure enough time for these custom creations to be carefully hand made and delivered to their destination. Shipping is free of charge for orders totaling $24.00 and up; $5.50 for anything under that amount. Ms. Dowell approves of most major credit cards for your order via telephone, in person and at www.JensChocolates.com to make shopping a "piece of cake".

In my estimation, this establishment truly compliments the East Coast, presenting an example that even such a small business can make a great impact and set a path for all entrepreneurs. Tradition is everywhere and Jennifer does confections well. You know what to expect and you get exactly what you anticipate every time. Drop her an email to wish everyone there a Happy Mother's Day after exploring this website.
